Finance Officer

A new role at the heart of our finances. You keep the financial administration correct, on time and clear, support the Royalty Coordinator with the quarterly statements, and are the contact for our external accountant and the societies we work with.
CPI is a growing company of around ten people without an in-house finance officer yet, so this role is new and key to our next step. You work closely with the Royalty Coordinator, the team and external partners such as our accountant, collective management organisations, sub-publishers and international partners.
What you'll do
- Support the quarterly royalty statements and check that all money has arrived before payout
- Check that amounts reported by societies and sub-publishers were fully received
- Prepare statements in SharePoint and Royalty Power
- Reclaim withholding tax every quarter
- Process sales invoices monthly and follow up on outstanding items
- Handle foreign currency, internally and with our accountant
- Be CPI's contact for the accountant on VAT returns and open questions
- Compare monthly figures with budgets, and keep the ledger up to date
- Manage the finance mailbox
Who you are
- Vocational or higher professional level, with experience in a finance or administrative role
- Music industry, royalty or rights experience is a plus, not a requirement
- Analytical, precise and structured
- Independent and proactive, you create structure where there is none yet
- Proven experience with Exact; strong in Excel
- Good Dutch and English; other languages are a plus
